I'm not against this in particular, however my primary goal with the Busylight for Humans package was to provide support for as many different devices as possible. Across the universe of supported devices there is only one shared operation which is on with a color ( off is on with black for most devices ). I can see providing some sort of mechanism for enumerating extra available operations and exposing those thru the busylight command line tool or perhaps vendor specific CLIs that can access the extended functionality. I'm not going to promise any sort of timeline for delivery on this feature, but Christmas is coming up and I may have some time on my hands.
