Snowpack v1 vs v2 for LitElement

I use Snowpack v1 in a project to "modularise" LitElement and import it as a plain ES module. How can I do the same with Snowpack v2? Looking at the docs it is not clear to me. I don't want to serve the module in a dev server, nor build the whole project, I just want to "build" LitElement.

yup, esinstall is essentially a JS API for Snowpack v1 behavior.
