📌 FINDINGS/SCREENSHOTS/VIDEO

  • I was able to recreate this issue, so marking this as triaged for further review.
  • Noting that I added the label Low priority because users on the Blogger plan can continue with the Personal plan purchase to be able to use their new domain, choose any other legacy plan from the Plans page, or contact support to upgrade to Starter or Pro plan. But the text "Pro plan required" is confusing since this is not accurate.
  • While testing I also noticed that the Personal plan that is added to the cart automatically cannot be removed unless you remove the domain first. This may be expected but I still found it strange since the Remove from cart link shows for the plan but does not work.

📌 ACTIONS

  • Marked as Triaged for Quality Squad review

FWIW, the Personal plan is added by the shopping-cart endpoint validator. That validator has this comment:

Users on Blogger plan can only have .blog domains. If they are trying to add something the plan doesn't allow, automatically add Personal.
