Steps to reproduce the behavior

  1. On a WordPress.com site with a Business plan (but not yet Atomic) go to Appearance > Themes
  2. Click "Install theme"
  3. Click "Continue"
  4. Drag or select a theme zip file that is not part of the WordPress.com collection, such as Neve
  5. Once the theme has finished installing, click Appearance > Themes to return to the showcase
  6. Click the "Show all themes" button at the bottom of the "Recommended Themes section"

What I expected to happen

To see the newly uploaded theme in the "My Themes" tab

What actually happened

The newly uploaded theme is not shown in the "My Themes" tab. It has to be re-uploaded to be seen.

Found this issue where the uploaded theme isn't showing in Calypso's My Site → Appearance → Themes → My Themes tab. I'm seeing this on an existing Atomic site where I have uploaded a couple of themes.

I had the same occurrence on a user's site who has uploaded a couple of themes too but was unable to access it from the Calypso interface.

They were only able to access them from Classic View/ WP-Admin Themes page.
