Steps to reproduce the behavior

  1. Go to 'Tools' and click 'Marketing'.
  2. Click on 'Connections' tab
  3. Click 'Connect' button next to 'Facebook.'
  4. Follow the prompts to login to Facebook.
  5. See error:

  1. Click 'Close' and comes another error:

What I expected to happen

Success message and WordPress.com will connect with Facebook.

What actually happened

Couldn't connect, and comes an error message.

Does this happen on simple or atomic sites or both?

Both - tested on both Simple and Atomic site

📌 REPRODUCTION RESULTS

  • Tested on Simple – Replicated although not in the same way
  • Tested on Atomic – Replicated again not in the same way

But it is suspicious why others are not reporting it.
