Centerline calculation for vascular territories and model smoothing

Calculation of the center-line can sometimes fail due to the geometry of the models generated after segmentation.

Hypothesis:
There is a problem of connectivity between triangles in slim vessel mesh and the centerline computation fails because it cannot connect the two points with a polyline.

Possible Solution: Add a sub-division filter in the preprocessing as in here
Comment: I test this filter for a preparation step in my algorithm and it works. Subdivision will make the generation of the centerline more accurate at the cost of increasing computation time.
